Job Description
The QA Team Lead will be in charge of directing a team of QA engineers to assure the quality of software applications, with a particular emphasis on integration, Finacle core banking system, mobile and internet banking platforms, and USSD services.
Responsibilities of Team Lead, Quality Assurance at Stanbic IBTC
Test Planning and Execution
- Create and implement detailed test strategies and cases.
- Run functional, integration, system, regression, and performance tests.
- A bug tracking system can help you identify, document, and monitor bugs.
- Ensure that faults are resolved swiftly and effectively.
Integrated Testing
- Validate system and platform integration,
- Test interfaces between Finacle and other applications
- Ensure data consistency across linked systems.
Finacle Core Banking Operation
- Thoroughly test Finacle functionalities,Â
- validate transactions and account management, and
- ensure compliance with rules and industry norms.
Mobile/Internet Banking/USSD
- Test user interfaces and functionality on various devices and browsers.
- Â Validate user logins, transaction processing, and account queries.
- Â Provide a fluid and user-friendly banking experience.
- Â Test the USSD menus and features.
- Â Validate transaction processing and information retrieval using USSD.
- Â Ensure that USSD users can access and use the system easily.
Automation Testing
- Â Create and manage automated testing scripts.
- Â Execute automated tests and examine the findings.
- Â Improve test coverage and efficiency using automation.
Qualifications
- Â Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar discipline.
- Â A minimum of seven years of experience in software testing.
- Â A minimum of two years of experience heading a QA team.
- Â Software testing certifications (ISTQB, CSTE) and experience
- Â Strong understanding of the Finacle core banking system.
- Â Extensive expertise testing mobile and online banking applications.
- Â Proficient at testing USSD services.
- Â Experience with integration testing and validation.
- Â Experience with test planning, execution, and defect tracking.
