How Can You Make a Difference?
As a Driver with UNICEF, you will deliver safe and reliable driving services and ensure full compliance with local traffic rules and UNICEF’s drivers’ rules and regulations.
You will display the greatest professionalism, discretion, integrity, adaptability and understanding of protocol, providing administrative support and pursuing self-directed learning during non-driving periods.
You will have a client-oriented approach, characterized by civility, sensitivity and a strong sense of responsibility and you will work effectively with people coming from different national and cultural backgrounds.

- Safe and Reliable Driving Services
- Routine Vehicle Care, Maintenance and Readiness

Minimum Requirements
Education
- A secondary education is required
- A valid driver’s license is required
- Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations is required
Work Experience
- Minimum two (2) years of work experience as a driver in an international organization, embassy, or UN system with a safe driving record is required
Skills
- Safe driving and vehicle maintenance skills
- Emergency response capability
- Protocol compliance experience
- Digital tools experience
Language Requirements
- Fluency in English is required
Desirable Qualifications
- Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) or a local language
- Defensive driving certification
- First aid certification
- Experience in customs procedures and airport protocol
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings, and humanitarian contexts

Contract Information
This is a G-2 level General Service contract. It is normally only for nationals of the duty station country. The contract usually requires two years of experience, depending on education.
