How Can You Make a Difference?
UNICEF works toward a world where every child has a fair chance in life. As Senior Driver you will provide high level, secure and professional driving services to the Head of Office (HoE).
This function is not limited to transportation but demands good cooperation with internal and external stakeholders, understanding of diplomatic and UN procedure, fluency in digital tracking systems and a client-service oriented approach.
In addition to your driving duties, you will give basic administrative and logistic support and participate in the professional development of other drivers (mentoring and guiding junior drivers).
You are customer oriented, with a strong sense of responsibility, civility, discretion and sensitivity, and the ability to deal effectively with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.

- Reliable and Safe Driving Services
- Effective Coordination and Protocol Engagement
- Vehicle Maintenance, Readiness and Incident Response
- Use of Digital Systems and Devices
- Administrative and Logistical Support
- Guidance to Junior Drivers
- Learning and development during Downtimes
To qualify an advocate for every child you will have…
Minimum requirements:
- Education: Secondary education is required, along with a valid driver’s license and knowledge of local driving rules and regulations.
- Work Experience: Minimum three years of relevant work experience as a driver in an international organization, embassy, or UN system with a safe driving record is required.
- Skills: Knowledge in Protocol Compliance, Safe driving, Vehicle Tracking Systems, Vehicle maintenance is required.
- Language Requirements: Proficiency in English is required.
Desirables:
- Language: Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
- Experience with VIP protocol, airport meeting protocol, emergency response and first-aid certification is an asset.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts is an asset.
