Application is ongoing for the 2024 Access Bank Womenpreneur Program. Access Bank’s W Initiative started the Womenpreneur Pitch-a-ton program in 2019, the first program of its kind in the industry to help women in business.

All About the 2024 Access Bank Womenpreneur Program

In its first year of operation, the Access Bank Womenpreneur Pitch-a-ton Program offered a free mini-MBA certification to fifty women entrepreneurs in Nigeria. Additionally, the program awarded financial prizes totaling nine million Nigerian naira to the three candidates who received the highest scores.

This was achieved with the help of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), which is part of the World Bank Group. After that, the program was expanded to 10 more African countries where Access Bank’s W project is present.

The 6th season starts this year, and its goal is to give 120 more women business owners in Nigeria mini-MBAs and grants worth more than N17.5 Million Naira to WSMEs.

Eligibility Criteria For The Access Bank Womenpreneur Pitch-a-ton Program 2024

This season of the 2024 Access Bank Womenpreneur Program is divided into two stages.

1st Stage

  • Applicants must have an Access Bank account number (either an individual or a business account); Applicants must be women who own at least 50% of the business;
  • Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 55; • Applicants must have been in business for more than one year.
  • Applicants must fill out and send in the application form.

2nd Stage

  • You must send in a one-minute video pitch about the business.
  • You need to have a business account with Access Bank.
  • The applicant’s business needs to be registered.
  • The applicant must be able to attend the Mini-MBA program in person in Lagos.

Benefits of the 2024 Access Bank Womenpreneur Program

  • They will get a special, certified Mini-MBA and grants
  • The program lasts for three months and includes 8 weeks of mini-MBA training with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and pitching sessions to a Pan-African Jury panel. 
  • The top finalists will use what they’ve learned in the mini-MBA to present their businesses and have the chance to win grants and other prizes.

Prizes:

  • First prize is N5 million naira
  • Second prize is N4 million naira
  • Third prize is N3 million naira
  • Fourth prize is N2 million naira
  • Fifth prize is N1 million naira
  • Sixth Prize is N750,000 naira
  • Seventh Prize is N500,000
  • Twenty applicants will also get gifts as a consolation, like free online ads and free website building.
  • The International Finance Corporation will give the top 100 applicants a 12-week mini-MBA training.
