As part of its operational activities, the company requires a dependable Company Driver to support staff transportation, product deliveries and other logistics-related assignments.
Job Description
The Company Driver will support the company’s daily transportation and logistics activities by ensuring the safe and timely movement of employees, products, documents and other materials.
The successful applicant must demonstrate responsible driving habits, good knowledge of Lagos traffic conditions and the ability to maintain company vehicles in good working condition.
The role also requires proper record-keeping, effective communication with the Office Administrator and General Manager, and compliance with relevant traffic laws and company driving policies.
Key Responsibilities
The Company Driver will be expected to perform the following duties:
- Safely transport company staff, goods, documents and other materials to assigned destinations.
- Ensure the timely collection and delivery of products and other company items.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and promptly report mechanical faults or defects.
- Maintain the cleanliness and good working condition of assigned company vehicles.
- Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption and deliveries.
- Ensure that transported goods are properly secured and delivered to the correct recipients.
- Comply with traffic laws, road safety regulations and the company’s driving policies.
- Coordinate with the Office Administrator on vehicle servicing, repairs and maintenance arrangements.
- Report accidents, vehicle defects, delivery challenges and other operational issues to the General Manager.
- Perform other transportation and logistics duties as may be assigned by management.
Requirements and Qualifications
Interested applicants are expected to meet the following requirements:
- Minimum of BA/BSc, HND or an equivalent qualification.
- Possession of a valid Nigerian driver’s licence appropriate for the assigned vehicle.
- At least 2–3 years of proven professional driving experience.
- Good knowledge of Lagos roads, routes and traffic patterns.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to maintain accurate trip records and documentation.
- Ability to handle company vehicles, goods and other property responsibly.
- Strong punctuality, integrity and organisational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and comply with company driving policies.
Additional Advantage: Previous experience transporting goods or supporting commercial delivery operations will be an added advantage.
Salary and Benefits
The M & W Nuts Company is offering a monthly salary within the following range:
₦130,000 – ₦150,000 per month
