Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent financial irregularities.
  • Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, cash transactions, and company ledgers.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required financial documentation.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for management review.
  • Record and reconcile daily sales transactions and customer payments.
  • Track production costs, including raw materials, labor, fuel, and other operational expenses.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are properly documented.
  • Ensure timely remittance of taxes, pensions, and other statutory obligations.
  • Prepare and process employee payroll and statutory deductions.
  • Monitor inventory of raw materials and finished products and reconcile stock records regularly.
  • Assist in budget preparation and monitor adherence to approved budgets.
  • Conduct periodic financial analysis and provide recommendations for cost reduction and profitability improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Prepare management reports and provide financial insights to support decision-making.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or ATS is an added advantage.
  • 1–2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing, construction, or block production environment.
  • Experience in inventory management and stock reconciliation.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and cost accounting.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.

Experience

  • 1–2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing, construction, or block production environment
  • Experience in inventory management and stock reconciliation

Professional Certification (Added Advantage)

  • Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or ATS is an added advantage

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and cost accounting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
