Job Description
To optimize revenue generation and subscriber acquisition—both gross and net additions—within the designated territory, it is essential to enhance channel effectiveness (encompassing both wholesale and retail), ensure sufficient availability of recharge options, and execute the planned sales, distribution, and marketing strategies.
Responsibilities of Area Sales Manager at Airtel Nigeria
To achieve recharge sales target within state/area:
- To guarantee that all recharge denominations are available in adequate quantities at sub-CP and retail outlets.
- To guarantee that channel partners have goods available and distribute it to their network of sub-CPs and shops.
- To meet ERC, RCV, and E-pin targets in agreed-upon ratios.Â
- Continually find opportunities to drive activation and recharge sales within the territory.
Achieve a share of gross and net additions (SOGA and SONA):
- Ensure full achievement of Gross Adds targets by driving market efforts in your allocated area.Â
- Effective administration of direct activation teams and oversight of CP bus activation activities.Â
- KYC optimization at the trade level is achieved by ensuring that KYC kits are properly deployed and functional.
- Reduce KYC inactivity to nil.
- Other measures to improve GAD include a new website launch.
- Ensure that Quality GADs are activated in the allocated region.
- Create and implement actions that will increase SONA in the specified area.
Channel Branding and Visibility:
- Ensure that appropriate and effective outlet branding is implemented in accordance with the territory’s “look of success”.Â
- Identify visibility chances for the Airtel brand in the territory.Â
- To guarantee that ITP grows and supports iCMS and iRMS.
- Effective management of POS stock in the warehouse to prevent damage, waste, and obsolete products.
- Train Market Developers on POS implementation in accordance with the “look of success”.
Distributed Infrastructure:
- To recruit a suitable number of retailers (RSOs, SSOs, and ERCOs) in accordance with scientific distribution standards.
- Transform all other retailers into one-stop shop SSOs and SSOs.
- Maintain an RSO(5):SSO(1) ratio that is consistent with scientific distribution.Â
- Maintain a KYC infrastructure ratio of 1 kit to 3 SSOs.Â
- Identify and engage relevant subchannel partners in the territory to ensure effective product re-distribution.
BTS Management:
- Ensure consistent CLS elimination.Â
- Create subscriber acquisition and other marketing strategies to increase income at CLS site locations.
- New Site Launch Plan and Distribution Preparation.
- Effectively drive and manage goal-driven initiatives and projects.
Industry Awareness and Competitive Intelligence:
- To effectively report competing actions within the designated territory and undertake appropriate counter-initiatives.Â
- Track ongoing projects in the Market.
- To swiftly handle or elevate any anomalous rival behavior and sales support that may jeopardize the business’s performance.
Decrement:
- Implementation of customer-driven activities (product launches, town storms, etc.) in the designated area.
- Improve voice and data business performance by implementing revenue-generating activities and initiatives in the designated territory.
Qualifications for Area Sales Manager at Airtel Nigeria
- 3+ years of commercial/ business management experience.
- Team leadership experience.
- 1 – 2 years of relevant experience in Airtel products.
- Bachelors in social sciences, marketing, business management, engineering or computer science.
- Masters in business administration or management will be an advantage.
- Project management qualification will be an advantage.
