Duties & Responsibilities Business Manager Commercial Banking at FBN

  • Ensure that the team’s functions and activities are executed with strategic leadership and direction.
  • Optimize and strengthen relationships with both new and existing consumers in the target market.
  • Ensure that the Relationship Managers (RMs) within the team work together to coordinate their marketing efforts and achieve a substantial increase in the market share of both new and existing consumers.
  • The team’s commerce transaction volumes have been intentionally increased, including Form M, Letters of Credit, and Bills for Collection.
  • Establish budgets and objectives for the team, guarantee that budgets are satisfied, and oversee resources to optimize profitability.
  • Formulate strategies for retaining and gaining new accounts and identify new business opportunities.
  • Deal structuring and collaboration with co-lenders in syndication arrangements.
  • Ensure that the team’s performance is periodically reviewed and evaluated, and that corrective actions are taken to achieve the Group’s strategy and annual plans.
  • Responsible for the facilitation of trade-related transactions within the bank’s foreign exchange operations.
  • Assist in the development of credit structures that are consistent with the potential of the business.

Eligibility Criteria

Education

  • Minimum Qualifications: A first degree or equivalent in any field, with a preference for business-related fields.
  • An additional benefit will be conferred upon individuals with relevant professional certificates and advanced degrees.

Experience

  • A minimum of nine years of relevant banking experience, including credit and marketing, is required.
  • Previous experience in the field of commercial banking.
