About the Role
The Cash Officer (ABO) is a critical role within the branch operations team, responsible for managing cash transactions with accuracy and efficiency while ensuring strict compliance with banking policies and procedures .
This position requires a professional who can handle high-volume cash operations, maintain meticulous records, and provide excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
As a Cash Officer (ABO) at Providus Bank, you will be responsible for:
- Cash Management: Processing deposits, withdrawals, and other cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Vault Operations: Managing the branch’s cash vault, ensuring adequate cash levels for daily operations
- Transaction Verification: Verifying and balancing cash transactions at the end of each business day
- Customer Service: Greeting customers, answering inquiries, and resolving issues with a professional and friendly demeanor
- Compliance: Ensuring all cash operations comply with banking policies, regulatory requirements, and anti-money laundering (AML) procedures
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of all transactions to ensure compliance and facilitate audits
- Cash Forecasting: Assisting in forecasting cash needs based on customer demand patterns
- Security & Confidentiality: Ensuring the security and confidentiality of customer information and bank assets
- Collaboration: Working collaboratively with other branch staff to achieve branch and organizational goals
- Business Support: Supporting business development initiatives and contributing to branch performance targets
Qualifications & Requirements
