Role Overview
- We are looking for a competent, detail-oriented Batching Operator to join our production team.
- The ideal applicant will be responsible for correctly weighing, measuring, and preparing raw materials in accordance with authorised formulae to ensure efficient manufacturing and consistent product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately weigh and batch raw ingredients based on approved formulas and BOM.
- Prepare ingredients and materials for the blending and production process.
- Before using the substance, verify its identification, quantity, and condition.
- Ensure the correct labelling and handling of batch supplies.
- Maintain batching accuracy for product uniformity and quality.
- Avoid cross-contamination during batching activities.
- Report anomalies, shortages, and quality concerns promptly.
- Use weighing scales and batching equipment efficiently.
- Report flaws or operational difficulties to supervisors.
- Follow GMP, food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety regulations.
- Ensure the proper usage of PPE throughout operations.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality assurance, and engineering teams.
- Assist in stock monitoring and material reconciliation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate waste and increase efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of OND or technical certification.
- At least two years of expertise in batching or manufacturing processes.
- Experience in food or seasoning production is an added benefit.
- Good understanding of weighing and measurement systems.
- Ability to read and analyse batch sheets and bills of materials (BOM).
- Excellent attention to detail and devotion to quality
- Understanding of GMP, food safety, cleanliness, and workplace safety regulationsRequired Competencies
- Understanding of the raw materials utilised in seasoning manufacture.
- Understanding the material handling and storage requirements
- Capability to detect and avoid cross-contamination between flavours and allergies.
- Understanding the material reconciliation processes.
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
- Effective housekeeping and workplace organising methods.
