Job Description 

  • The CRM Manager will be in charge of developing customer relationship management strategies for a rapidly growing digital bank.  
  • This role is critical in increasing customer engagement, retention, and lifetime value by delivering targeted, data-driven campaigns and seamless customer experiences.  
  • The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of CRM systems, client segmentation, and the distinct dynamics of African markets, notably in the fintech or banking sectors.

Key Responsibilities CRM Manager at FairMoney

1. CRM plan Development: Create and implement a complete CRM plan to improve customer acquisition, retention and loyalty.  Create personalized customer journeys based on behavioral and demographic data to increase engagement and conversions.

 2. Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and optimize multi-channel CRM campaigns (email, SMS, push notifications, and in-app messaging) based on local market preferences and cultural subtleties.  Use A/B testing and analytics to boost marketing performance and ROI.

 3. Customer Segmentation and Personalization: Use data analytics to segment customers based on their transaction history, preferences, and lifecycle stages.  to provide hyper-personalised information and offers in order to increase customer satisfaction and reduce turnover.

 4. CRM Platform Management: Manage the implementation, customization, and maintenance of CRM platforms (e.g., Customer.io, Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).  Integrate CRM systems with other bank platforms, such as core banking and mobile apps, to provide a single customer view.

 5. Data Analysis and Reporting: Monitor and report on key CRM parameters, such as customer retention rate, NPS, CLV, and churn.

 To provide senior management with actionable insights to guide product development and marketing initiatives.

 6. Compliance & Data Privacy to ensure that all CRM activities adhere to local data protection standards, protecting customer data and maintaining confidence through transparent and ethical procedures.

 7. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with marketing, product, and technology teams to connect CRM initiatives with overall business goals.  To collaborate with customer service to alleviate pain points and increase customer happiness.

 8. Market Insights & Localization: Stay up to date on local market trends, customer behaviors, and competitive landscapes in Africa.  CRM strategies must be tailored to the three markets’ unique language, cultural, and economic characteristics.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience: At least 5 years in CRM, digital marketing, or customer success roles, preferably in fintech, banking, or e-commerce.
  • Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, data science, or a related profession.  A master’s degree or CRM certification (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) is beneficial.
  • Technical skills include proficiency in CRM platforms such as Customer.io, Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, or similar.
  • Proficient in analytics technologies such as Google Analytics, Tableau, and Power BI.
  • Expertise in marketing automation tools and customer data platforms.
  • Soft skills include strong communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling collaboration across teams and markets.
  • A strong analytical approach, with an emphasis on data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, remote-first workplace while maintaining cultural sensitivity.
