The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has opened its online portal for the recruitment of about 1.4 million ad-hoc personnel for the 2027 general elections.
The temporary election workers will be deployed to more than 176,000 polling units across the country for the two rounds of the elections.

About INEC
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is the constitutionally recognized electoral administration authority in Nigeria that is responsible for the organization and conduct of elections in the country.
For election operations, the Commission has both regular and temporary staff. In the course of large elections, polling units, registration area centers, collation centers and other election locations require transient or ad hoc people to facilitate activities.
The sheer size of Nigeria’s general elections means that thousands of troops will be deployed across the Federal Capital Territory and the 36 states of the nation.

Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility depends on the position being applied for, the applicant’s educational background, institution, employment status, and other specified conditions.
