Specific Responsibilities for Data Center Facility Engineers
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing critical equipment that has failed, identifying the primary cause of the failure, and implementing the first-line corrective action to restore the equipment and ensure its reliability.
- Reduce the cost of operation and innovate, implement, and practice energy savings.
- Ensure the efficient and effective delivery of infrastructure by assessing new products and technologies.
- Direct the daily operations and monitoring of the electrical and mechanical components of the data center, including CHILLERS, CRAC/CRAH VESDA & FM200, Access Control, CCTV, and Water Leakage Detection.
- Executing, supervising, and scheduling corrective maintenance in data centers, as well as change management.
- Troubleshooting and resolution of mechanical and electrical faults related to generators, chillers, HPAC/CRAC units, secondary pumps, extractor blowers, UPS, and AVR at the second level.
- Guarantees that the preventative and predictive maintenance program is implemented and adhered to in accordance with the established schedule with the assistance of the support vendors.
- Maintain sufficient records to facilitate operational audits, both internal and external. Supervise facility vendors and contractors.
- Guarantee the facility’s thorough and efficient maintenance.
- Capacity to supervise the provision of services, particularly those provided by third-party vendors, to consumers
Qualifications, Skills & Competencies
Qualifications and Experiences
- A minimum of four years of transferable experience
- The capacity to generate, comprehend, and interpret single-line diagrams in order to address second-level electrical issues.
- Expertise in the following areas: DCIM Server, BMS Server, NVR, CHILLERS, CRAH/CRAC, VESDA & FM200, Access Control, CCTV Systems, HVAC Systems, and intrusion detection systems.
- Proficient in the second-level troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical system faults within the DC infrastructure.
- Strong technical proficiency in a variety of electrical and mechanical distribution and subsystems
- The capacity to develop MOP for all infrastructure upgrades and capacity planning change management.

- A capacity to interact with a diverse group of individuals, multitask, and be a good team player, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Superior troubleshooting and logical reasoning abilities
- B-Eng. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering ITIL Certification and any applicable Facility Management/BMS/DCIM certification will be considered an added advantage.
