About New Incentives
New Incentives was started by Svetha Jantru and some other people in 2011. The group’s main office is in California, USA, but most of its work is done in Nigeria.
The main goal of New Incentives’ scheme is to get more Nigerian children vaccinated. Giving cash rewards to parents who get all of their kids vaccinated is what the group does. Getting a vaccination costs money, so the rewards are meant to help cover those costs.

Job Description
The Field Officers will support the New Incentives program, which uses cash transfers to encourage mothers to finish their infant’s immunization regimen.
The initiative is run in collaboration with Bauchi State’s Primary Healthcare Development Board. The major responsibility of the function will be to enroll beneficiaries at public clinics.
Field Officers are hired full-time and work at clinics throughout Bauchi State.
They must already be based or dwell in one of the following towns:

Context:
In recent years, Nigeria has significantly increased the provision of baby vaccination services. Despite this progress in supply, vaccine demand remains modest. New incentives encourage moms to properly vaccinate their infants with monetary transfers, ensuring that their youngsters are protected from fatal infections. The financial transfers help women afford transportation to the clinic and reimburse them for lost income.
Key responsibilities of Field Officers (entry-level) at New Incentives
- Enrolling beneficiaries at remote public clinics.
- Monitor immunization services in your clinic.
- Interact with clinic personnel and beneficiaries.
- Conduct high-quality, quick assessment.
- Assist with other program-related duties.
- Please keep in mind that this is a hands-on profession for hardworking, dedicated young individuals.
Required Qualifications for Field Officers (entry-level)
- Fluent in Bauchi’s local languages and dialects, particularly Hausa. In your cover letter, please include the languages/dialects you can speak, as well as your fluency level in each.
- Nigerian national already residing in Bauchi State.
- Minimum of a National Diploma, ideally a Bachelor’s degree in health or other natural sciences.
- Willingness to work at rural public clinics a couple days per week and use public transportation to get there.
- Experience with the Nigerian health system and clinic paperwork, notably on baby health and vaccinations
- Experience in gathering, analyzing, and deriving conclusions from (health) data is desirable.
- Paying close attention to finances and managing funds
- Detail-oriented and conscientious professional.
- Passion for helping others and reducing infant mortality.
- Excellent communication and writing skills in English, Hausa, and dialects (both verbal and written).
- Excellent response to email and phone queries.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel, internet browsers, smartphones, and new technologies in general.
- Hardworking, results-oriented, and loyal.
- Motivation to work in a young firm that is continuously developing based on stakeholder feedback and functions with a lean structure

The selection process for this post is competitive. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis.
