Job Description

  • Supervision and execution of the company’s regional security plan.
  • Serve as the region’s loss prevention manager.
  • Lead engagement and contact with Government Security Forces (GSF) at the regional level, ensuring that GSF activities that may have an impact on business operations are managed promptly.
  • Directly supervises the management of security guards at IHS regional offices, warehouses, tank farms, and guest hotels around the region.
  • Maintain the integrity of all access control systems, including CCTV, ID systems, ID cards, and so on.
  • Implement protocols and procedures to improve access management across the region for all types of customers and stakeholders.
  • Supervise and manage all field operational processes and procedures for specialists, security, and community interventions.
  • Compile crime information from various states in the region to analyze firm security risk and proactively provide potential mitigating techniques for the safety of all teams in the region.
  • Liaise on a regular basis and hold monthly or weekly regional meetings with functions across the organization to handle site access concerns at any location in the region.
  • Provide relevant recommendations to HQ on how to integrate current operational and investigative best practices to ensure the department’s security architecture is stable and resilient.  
  • Respond to community letters and ensure the regional security team is properly represented in Community Development Area (CDA)/Estate meetings.
  • Ensure that all compensation requests are investigated and closed on time in accordance with company-approved policies and guidelines.
  • Create an awareness campaign to educate communities about IHS policies, processes, and procedures that influence community requests and expectations.
  • Provide frequent security awareness training for employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Collect all community agitations and replies reported by team members and communicate them with headquarters on a weekly basis, and advise on corporate social responsibility (CSR) interventions as needed.
  • Monitor any escalated issues, community demands, payments, and issues resolved.
  • Prepare and submit weekly reports to the Senior Manager, Security Operations on all aspects of security operations and community interventions in the region.
  • Perform any other activities, duties, or obligations assigned by the Senior Manager of Security Operations.
  • Ensure that GSF deployed to support IHS activities follows the Voluntary Principles of Human Rights.

Qualifications

  • HND/ Bachelor’s degree in any relevant discipline.
  • +5 years’ relevant work experience.
