The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) welcomes applications from eligible Nigerian professionals for the post of Marshal Inspector III (MI-III) in the Marshal Inspectorate Cadre. 

This is an entry level non-commissioned officer (NCO) position, which offers a great opportunity for holders of National Diploma (ND), Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE), Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW) certificates and other allied health qualifications to join Nigeria’s lead agency in road traffic administration and safety management. 

You will be trained at the Marshal Inspectorate Training School (MITS), Owa-Alero, Delta State – a facility specialising in the practical application of road safety operations, enforcement techniques and field operations management – as a Marshal Inspector III before carrying out front-line duties in road safety enforcement, traffic management and emergency response

About Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC)

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) is a Para-military institution and the Lead Agency for road traffic administration and traffic management in Nigeria. 

The Corps is tasked to reduce road accidents, enforce traffic laws, promote road safety education and respond to crises nationally.

Role Overview / Job Details

The Marshal Inspector III (MI-III) is the entry-level non-commissioned officer (NCO) position within the FRSC’s Marshal Inspectorate Cadre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Road Safety Operations: Conduct front-line road safety patrols and enforcement activities
  • Traffic Enforcement: Enforce road traffic regulations and ensure highway safety across Nigeria
  • Emergency Response: Provide emergency response and first aid at accident scenes
  • Field Operations: Support field operations and enforcement activities under the supervision of senior officers
  • Team Support: Assist in team leadership and operational oversight
  • Training: Undergo comprehensive training at MITS Owa-Alero, Delta State, in practical road safety operations, enforcement techniques, and field operations management

Career Progression: Marshal Inspector III is the entry-level inspector position with opportunities for advancement to Marshal Inspector II (MI-II), Marshal Inspector I (MI-I), and Chief Inspector (CI)

Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess any of the following qualifications from recognised institutions:

  • National Diploma (ND) or Ordinary National Diploma (OND)
  • Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE)
  • Senior Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW) Certificate
  • Registered Nurse (RN) / Registered Midwife (RM)
  • Medical Laboratory Technicians
  • Pharmacy Technicians
  • Dental Technicians

Age Requirement

  • Applicants must not be less than 18 or more than 30 years of age

General Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be Nigerian by birth
  • Be computer literate
  • Be single
  • Be of good character, free from financial indebtedness, and must not have been convicted of any criminal offence
  • Be medically fit and present a certificate of Medical Fitness issued by an approved government hospital
  • Have a minimum height of 1.65 metres for males and 1.58 metres for females
  • Possess current practising licences where applicable for medical and allied professional disciplines
  • Ensure that all certificates and qualifications are declared and presented at the point of recruitment; undeclared qualifications will not be accepted for future career progression
  • Must not have tattoos on any part of his/her body
  • Use personal email address and phone number when submitting applications

Additional Advantage

  • Possession of a valid National Driver’s Licence will serve as an added advantage

Salary Structure

The Marshal Inspector II position falls under CONPASS 06 salary grade
