Nigerian Army has begun recruitment for regular recruit intake, online registration for 88 Regular Recruit Intake Exercise for Trades/Non-Trades men and women for qualified candidates has commenced.

Nigerian Army 88 Regular Recruit Intake begins on September 30th, 2024, and ends on November 8, 2024.

Basic Requirements/Qualifications for Nigerian Army 88 Regular Recruit Intake

To be qualified to apply for the Nigerian Army 88 Regular Recruit Intake, all applicants must satisfy the following requirements:

(1) Applicants must be single Nigerian citizens with a National Identity Card/NIN slip and BVN.

(2) Applicants must meet Nigerian Army Medical, Physical, and Psychological Standards.

(3) Applicants must not have any criminal convictions from the court.

(4) Applicants must have a valid birth certificate or age declaration endorsed by the National Population Commission, Hospital, or Local Government Council.

(5) Applicants need a valid certificate of state of origin.

(6) Applicants must be at least 1.68 meters tall for men and 1.65 meters for women.

(7) Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 22 for non-tradesmen and women, and 26 for tradesmen and women, as on December 31, 24.

(8) Applicants must have 4 passes, including English Language, in no more than two sittings in WASSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB.

(9) Applicants for trade positions must have a Trade Test/City Guild Certificate in addition to the required qualifications. Information is available on the website.

(10) Interested candidates can register online at https://recruitment.army.mil.ng from September 30 to November 8, 24.

(11) Candidates must arrive to the screening center with warm clothes (cardigan, head warmer, hand gloves, and blanket).

General Instructions for Nigerian Army 88 Regular Recruit Intake

(1) Candidates should be aware that there will be no pre-selection computer-based test.

(2) No specialized recruitment center exists.

(3) There will be no Zonal Screening exercise.

(4) Potential recruits will be screened in their individual state of origin.

(5) Candidates should not bring any electronic or recording devices to the State Recruitment Exercise location.

(6) Candidates should not have any body inscriptions or tattoos.

(7) Candidates must provide all original copies of their educational certificates (primary and secondary).

(8) Candidates must not be members of any cults, societies, or fraternities.

(9) Candidates who falsify or fake their results during training at Depot NA will be withdrawn.

(10) Candidates should avoid providing gratification or incentives to others throughout the recruitment process for their own benefit.

(11)  Candidates are encouraged to bring their NIN and BVN slips.

(13) Shortlisted candidates for the state recruitment activity will be listed on the Nigerian Army website to raise awareness among all candidates.

(14) Shortlisted candidates should report to their places of origin for screening from December 5-19, 24.

(15) Shortlisted candidates should consider participating in the state recruiting process, as there will be no more recruitment opportunities.

(16) Applicants who can swim will have an advantage.

STEP 1. Visit the recruitment portal https://recruitment.army.mil.ng

STEP 2.  You will see two application options, click on the second option which

STEP 3.  Read through the application notice, scroll down, and click “Apply Now”

STEP 4.   Click on login, and if you do not have an account before, click on sign up under the login page. You can now sign up using your name and a valid email address.

STEP 5.   A verification email will be sent to your email address, click on the complete registration button to continue, and a page will pop up for you to enter a new password.

STEP 5.   The Recruitment Application Form will come up which you are to fill out properly.

STEP 6.   Complete the free online application form, submit it online, and print a copy. Then, print and complete the Guarantor Form as appropriate.

STEP 6.   Ensure you bring duly signed copies of the application forms and guarantor forms to the designated state recruitment centers.

Special notes on documents submitted

All documents will be validated by the appropriate issuing agencies. All those with fraudulent documents will be turned over to the police for prosecution.
