About The Position
The Pilot Trainee post provides successful individuals an opportunity to pursue a professional career in marine operations and vessel navigation.
The trainees will be trained in a disciplined manner to acquire the skills and competency needed for pilotage activities which will help to ensure the safe and efficient passage of boats within the Nigerian ports.
Qualifications & Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- Minimum of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Nautical Science or Marine Engineering
- Valid Seafarers Medical Certificate of Fitness
- Mandatory relevant maritime certificates
- West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) or its equivalent
- Knowledge of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) – an added advantage
- Age between 20 and 27 years
- Ability to swim is a necessary prerequisite for the position
