Responsibilities
The Pipeline Maintenance Specialist will perform applicable pipeline maintenance and technical activities including:
- Conduct routine maintenance, inspection and repair activities on pipeline systems and related infrastructure.
- Activities to support pipeline integrity and maintenance.
- Identification of faults in the pipeline, mechanical defects and possible problems for maintenance.
- Supporting preventative and corrective maintenance actions
- Support to field teams in pipeline inspection and maintenance activities .
- Ensuring that maintenance tasks are performed in compliance with authorized safety protocols.
- Keep accurate records and keep supervisors informed of all maintenance tasks.
- Collaborated with engineering and technical teams to troubleshoot pipeline related issues.
- Adhering to firm Health, Safety and Environment criteria during field activities.
- Performs other pipeline maintenance activities as directed by management.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Candidates must have the required qualifications and experience for the post.
- Candidates with qualifications or technical backgrounds in engineering, pipeline operations, mechanical maintenance, petroleum engineering or other comparable technical disciplines may be suitable, depending upon professional experience.
- Knowledge of the oil and gas, energy or pipeline maintenance sector will be an added advantage .
