Job Summary
The Graduate Trainee (Fleet Controller) will assist with fleet operations by monitoring delivery officers, tracking truck movements, generating fleet reports, and resolving delivery delays, route deviations, and operational interruptions.
Responsibilities
- To ensure timely and effective deliveries, monitor delivery personnel throughout their allotted journeys.
- Support the creation of daily fleet status reports and operational dashboards.
- Assist in tracking truck movements via GPS and fleet management systems.
- Facilitate the resolution of delivery delays, route deviations, and operational disturbances.
- Trip data should be accurately recorded for performance analysis and decision-making purposes.
- Communicate with delivery officials to receive real-time information on delivery status.
- Track turnaround times and identify areas for process improvement.
Requirements
- A willingness to learn and adapt.
- 0–2 years of post-graduate experience.
- A bachelor’s degree or higher-level diploma in logistics and supply chain management, transportation management, or business administration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- NYSC completion certificate (or exemption).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
