Job Summary
Assisting in the resolution of delivery delays and route deviations, the Graduate Trainee (Fleet Controller) will monitor truck movements, track delivery officers, and prepare fleet reports to support fleet operations.
Duties
- Assist in the development of operational dashboards and daily fleet status reports.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and monitor turnaround times.
- Ensure that delivery officers are monitored during their designated trips to guaranty that deliveries are made in a timely and efficient manner.
- Communication with delivery officers is essential to ensure that real-time updates regarding delivery progress are obtained.
- Assist in the monitoring of vehicle movements by employing fleet management systems and GPS.
- Assist in the resolution of operational disruptions, route deviations, and delivery delays.
- Accurately document trip data to facilitate performance analysis and decision-making.
Requirements
- Expertise in Microsoft Office applications, with a particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
- 0–2 years of post-graduate experience.
- A Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma in Business Administration, Transport Management, or Logistics & Supply Chain Management.
- NYSC accomplishment certificate (or exemption).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- A readiness to learn and adjust.
