Overview of the Position
- The selected candidate will have a solid academic background, a track record of research and publication, and extensive postgraduate teaching experience.
- The post entails teaching, research, and service responsibilities, with a focus on helping to establish and develop the MSc Data Science program.
- We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to serve as a Professor in our MSc Data Science program.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Providing leadership in curriculum development, ensuring relevance to industry needs.
- Mentoring and guiding postgraduate students in their academic and professional pursuits.
- Engaging in cutting-edge research and contributing to the university’s research objectives.
- Conducting advanced courses in the MSc Data Science program.
- Contributing to the academic community through committee work, program development, and other university service activities.
Qualifications
- A strong track record of scholarly papers in top journals and conferences in Machine Learning, Data Engineering, Analytics/Fintechs, Big Data & Products Analytics, Deep Learning, Data Visualisation, Data Governance, Natural Language Processing, and Forensics.
- Proven experience mentoring and supervising graduate students.
- Active participation in professional data science organisations.
- A Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a comparable discipline from a renowned university.
- Postgraduate teaching and curriculum development experience is extensive.
