The Role:

Accountable for managing the Sales Representatives in the allocated regions to meet overall sales objectives and quantitative and weighted distribution of BIC products in the sales universe.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Meet sales and GP targets for designated territory and categories.
  • Manage, coach and monitor the performance of Sales Representatives through regular field accompaniment and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and optimize route/journey plans to maximize territory and outlet cover.
  • Develop numeric and weighted distribution to find new sales opportunities.
  • Build and maintain great relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Follow up on Promotions, Merchandising, Visibility and New product launches.
  • Ensure effective stock availability, order generating, delivery follow up and cash collection.
  • Monitor rival pricing and market activities and share pertinent information with the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Regularly review territory performance. Take corrective action where appropriate.

Performance Indicators:

  • Category/product sales and GP attainment
  • Numeric and Weighed Distribution
  • Coverage of territory and outlet
  • SR productivity, route plan adherence
  • Purchase of new outlet
  • In-market execution and promotion
  • Performance of wholesaler/distributor

Requirements: *

  • Experience in Sales/Business Development in FMCG before
  • Previous experience managing a team of Sales reps
  • Demonstrated ability to meet sales, distribution and coverage objectives.
  • Strong knowledge in territory management, route planning and distributor/wholesaler management.
  • Good commercial and negotiation abilities, with the ability to spot fresh sales prospects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to analyze and evaluate sales and market data.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self motivated and organized with the ability to operate autonomously in a field based workplace.
  • Willingness to travel in given territory.
