Job Description
The Place is looking to hire a cook or caterer with experience in an existing buka or restaurant specializing in local Bayelsa cuisine.
The key criteria for this role are:
- Knowledge of local dishes
- Experience as a cook/caterer
- The ability to navigate local Bayelsa markets to source ingredients
Additionally, the ideal candidate should be able to:
- Determine recipes that align with Bayelsa taste preferences
- Carry out experiments pertaining to Bayelsa local foods to be rolled out
- Train cooks and supervisors on new food products rolled out
- Conduct continuous study of the market and competitor research
- Observe product quality control at the branch
- Handle data collection and product performance tracking
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- SSCE/OND/HND qualification
- Years of experience as a cook/caterer/chef in local cuisine
- Residency in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State
