Job Purpose:
- The role ensures efficient and cost-effective distribution by developing strategies and optimizing inventory level across the RDCs and the DCs
- This role involves strategic distribution of finished goods in the right quantity, right quality to the right location at the right time from the distribution centres to RDCs and Direct delivery from the RDCs within the production plants to the customers.

Principal Accountabilities:
- Any demand for organizing and planning, including personal effort and resource distribution.
- Typical decisions made and whether they are advisory or directly accountable for the outcome.
- Create and implement successful distribution strategies that are consistent with the company’s goals and consumer expectations.
- Optimize distribution routes and methods to reduce costs while increasing efficiency.
- Enforce the fair share rule for scarcity. Finished goods at DC and RDC locations.
- Ensure efficient inventory control, which means that the flow of finished items between DC and RDCs complies with STR criteria in APO while avoiding excessive stock buildup.
- Work closely with the DC Teams to guarantee the rapid shipment and dispatch of created STOs.
- Follow up with the RDCs to ensure that all STOs are received on time in the system.
- Collaborate with the sales and demand teams to ensure that customers’ needs are met and that any concerns are resolved as soon as they arise.
- Analyze distribution data to find patterns, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure that the stocking policy is followed throughout all RDCs.
- Use the RDC’s Inventory Replenishment Level to reduce out-of-stock conditions at the depot.
- Prepare frequent distribution performance reports that include key performance indicators (KPIs) such as transport lead times and truck optimization.
- The APO system’s deployment settings (Transport lead time) should be updated periodically.
- Every Friday, do weekly housekeeping on the APO/ECP system, including deleting all part STOs and OBDs.
- Attend weekly planning meetings with the supply planning and demand teams to ensure that priority products are consistently identified.
- Collaborate with the Transport team to monitor stocks in transit and inquire about extended stocks in transit.
- Working closely with the production planning team to ensure that the product is produced as agreed upon in the planning meeting
- Work closely with the quality team to ensure that finished goods are released from quality as scheduled.

- Identify the most important ones.
- Attach a recommended supplier list, if available.
- Indicate which networks the jobholder will be a part of, such as finance or category.

Qualifications for Deployment Planner at PZ Cussons
- First Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering and Economics.
Technical/Professional Experience:
- 2-3 years work experience
- Good knowledge of SAP ECC and APO ERP system
Job Context & Special Features:
- Good communication skill, good team player and leadership skill, high numerical strength.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, data interpretation and reporting
- Proficiency in English Language
