Role Overview
The Farm Tank Warehouse Officer is responsible for the efficient receiving, storage, handling, stock control and dispatch of wines, spirits and related commodities within the farm tank warehouse. Responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring compliance with quality, safety and regulatory standards. Supports uninterrupted manufacturing and distribution operations through effective warehouse management procedures.
You will be involved in tank storage operations, handling of raw materials, packaging materials and completed items within the beverage sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the reception, inspection, and correct storage of wines, spirits, raw materials, packaging supplies, and completed goods in the farm tank warehouse to maintain inventory integrity and product quality.
- To reduce stock variations and losses, monitor stock levels and keep correct inventory records using regular stock counts, reconciliations, and warehouse management systems.
- Coordinate the loading and unloading of products and materials while adhering to standard operating procedures, safety restrictions, and quality standards.
- Ensure correct handling, storage conditions, and stock rotation methods (FIFO/FEFO) to retain product quality and reduce deterioration or expiration.
- Keep accurate records of all warehouse transactions, including commodities receipts, transfers, dispatches, and inventory adjustments.
- Routinely inspect storage tanks, warehouse facilities, and equipment, and promptly report any faults or maintenance requirements.
- Collaborate with the Production, Quality Assurance, Procurement, and Logistics departments to ensure the timely availability and transfer of materials needed for company operations.
- Monitor warehouse cleanliness and ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and food/beverage industry requirements.
- Investigate and report inventory inconsistencies, damages, losses, and operational difficulties, offering corrective measures as needed.
- Support frequent audits and verify that all warehouse records and processes are compliant with business rules and regulatory requirements.
- Optimize warehouse space and material flow operations to increase operational efficiency and cost effectiveness.

EDUCATION
- The minimum need is a bachelor’s degree or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a similar discipline.
- Added benefit: Professional certification in Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Warehouse Operations, or Logistics Management.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum Requirement: 3-5 years of relevant experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or supply chain management in the FMCG, beverage, wines and spirits, or manufacturing industries.
- Experience managing tank storage operations, ERP/WMS systems, inventory reconciliation, and meeting beverage industry quality and safety regulations is an added advantage.
