About Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC)
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) is a Para-military institution and the Lead Agency for road traffic administration and traffic management in Nigeria.
The Corps is tasked to reduce road accidents, enforce traffic laws, promote road safety education and respond to crises nationally.
Role Overview / Job Details
The Assistant Route Commander (ARC) is the basic position for FRSC officers. Careers begin with basic training on road safety operations and enforcement.
Main responsibilities
- Field Operations Support: Assist senior officers in providing support to field operations, administrative and enforcement actions
- Traffic Enforcement: To enforce road traffic laws and ensure highway safety across Nigeria
- Public Education : Participate in road safety awareness and education initiatives
- Emergency Response: Assist crash victims and support emergency response operations
- Career Progression: Build a basis for promotion to higher ranks such as Deputy Route Commander (DRC), Route Commander (RC) and Superintendent Route Commander (SRC).
Qualifications & Requirements
Education Qualification
- The applicant must hold a B.Sc, BA or HND from recognized schools of study.
- Additionally, NYSC discharge certificate or exemption certificate must be shown by candidates
Age Requirement:
- Not less than eighteen years and not more than thirty five years
General Requirements
Applicants are required to:
- Be a Nigerian
- Computer literate.
- not have been convicted of any criminal crime must be of good character, not be in financial debt
- You must be single at the time you apply.
- Be medically fit and have a certificate of Medical Fitness issued by a government certified hospital
- Males must be at least 1.65 metres tall, and girls must be at least 1.58 metres tall
- All Certificates and Qualifications must be declared and presented at the time of recruiting. Undeclared qualifications will not be accepted for further career growth.
- Must not have tattoos anywhere on his/her body

- Maintain current practising licences when appropriate to medical and allied professional fields
Additional Advantage
- Possession of a valid National Driver’s Licence will be an added advantage
