Job Description
- Manage and maintain Rainoil’s network infrastructure, as well as the purchase, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of computer hardware equipment.
- To manage all software programs running on hardware devices and ensure that they provide enough support to Rainoil in order to meet predetermined goals.
Duties and Responsibilities of IT Officer Job at Rainoil Limited
- Provides reliable IT platforms and infrastructure to support Rainoil Logistics’ business operations.
- Assists with executing IT plans, rules, and processes
- Plan, design, and maintain data networks and servers.
- Implements LAN and WAN maintenance and administration methods.
- Creates and maintains user accounts, profiles, file sharing, and access credentials for the workplace intranet.
- Installs, supports, and manages both real and virtual network servers and appliances.
- Provides technical support to users regarding network concerns.
- Manages daily network and server operations.
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of computer networks within Rainoil Logistics.
- Liaises with Internet service providers and other vendors for cost-effective services in accordance with Service Level Agreements.
- Maintains computer peripheral equipment, such as scanners and printers, and ensures that they are prepared and ready for usage.
- Assists the Team Lead, Information Technology in deploying computer hardware throughout the firm.
- Manages relationships with service providers to provide seamless, cost-effective, and uninterrupted internet connectivity.
- Maintains logs and records of daily data communication transactions, problems, and corrective measures.
- Provides support and maintenance for the business’s software and applications.
- Installs client/server programs and important software fixes, performs any necessary application maintenance, and finds compatibility issues, escalating appropriately.
- Supervises and provides hands-on training to computer users and operators.
- Develops and implements company-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plans for software, data, and applications.
- Performs addition, removal, and updates to staff data and access privileges in accordance with the information security policy.
Job Requirements
- Qualification: B.Sc / HND in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related course. Minimum of Second Class Upper.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience as an IT Officer.
