Job Summary

  • The Maintenance Officer is in charge of effectively managing, maintaining, and organizing all of the facility’s tools and equipment. 
  • This function ensures that all tools are in good working order, easily available for usage, and appropriately documented and tracked.
  • The maintenance officer is critical in ensuring that the maintenance and production teams operate efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities of Maintenance Officer at Dana Plast Limited

  • keeping all tools in good working order and performing routine maintenance.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors for tool repairs and servicing as needed.
  • Make basic repairs and maintenance on tools and equipment.
  • Employees should be given tools, and records of their use and return should be kept.
  • Inspect the returned tools for damage and correct functioning.
  • Address any issues involving tool misuse or damage.
  • Ensure that all tools fulfill safety and regulatory criteria.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 2-3 years of demonstrated experience in a similar position, preferably in the plastic manufacturing industry.
  • The minimum need is an OND in any comparable discipline.
  • Experience with inventory management and tool tracking systems is very advantageous.
  • Record-keeping requires meticulousness and precision.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to do simple repairs and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements for tools and equipment.
  • Capability to address concerns connected to tool overuse or damage while making cost-effective purchases.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Problem-solving abilities and the ability to address concerns with tool overuse or damage.
  • Budget management expertise and the capacity to make cost-effective purchase selections.
