McKinsey & Company, a worldwide management consulting business with six headquarters in Africa – Johannesburg, Lagos, Luanda, Casablanca, Nairobi and Addis Ababa – is soliciting applications for the 2026 McKinsey Immersion Bootcamp (MiB) .

This private, non-evaluative, 3-day, in-person program is for undergraduate and postgraduate students across Africa who are fascinated about consulting and want to learn more about the industry. 

The bootcamp will be held in Cape Town, South Africa, where participants will be able to learn consulting skills, hear about McKinsey’s work on the continent and network directly with McKinsey consultants.

About the McKinsey Immersion Bootcamp

McKinsey & Company is a global management consulting firm with six operations in Africa: Johannesburg, Lagos, Luanda, Casablanca, Nairobi, and Addis Ababa. In 1995, our Johannesburg office was established. 

Ten nationalities are represented among our Johannesburg office colleagues, and we have conducted more than 1800 engagements in South Africa. 

We provide services to numerous prominent African organisations in a variety of sectors, such as financial services, energy and materials, consumer goods and retail, telecommunications, infrastructure and logistics, and the public and social sectors. 

We also contribute significantly to the development of African leaders and the development of capabilities in both our own organization and those of our customers.

The McKinsey Immersion Bootcamp 2026 (McK MIB) event is open to second, third, and final year students who are interested in consulting and wish to further their knowledge.

This exclusive, informative three-day in-person bootcamp will provide you with the opportunity to expand your knowledge of consulting, enhance your consulting toolkit, comprehend the nature of McKinsey’s work in South Africa and the continent, gain an overview of our graduate program and internships, and establish connections with McK consultants.

We welcome 2nd, 3rd and final year students from various academic backgrounds interested in pursuing an exciting career in consulting and passionate about working in Africa, undergraduates and post-graduates to apply. This event is non-evaluative, It is an opportunity for you to learn more about working with McKinsey in Africa.
