About May & Baker Nigeria Plc

May & Baker, Nigeria Plc was incorporated on 4th September, 1944 as the first pharmaceutical firm in Nigeria. 

It has its origins in England, United Kingdom where in 1834 three chemists created Grimwade, May & Pickett, a chemical production enterprise for pharmaceutical items. 1839 Changes in ownership resulted in Grimwade, May & Pickett becoming May & Baker United Kingdom Limited.  May & Baker UK Limited was developed into a huge European conglomerate through a web of mergers and acquisitions over years . 

As a result, the name of the corporation has changed several times and only the Nigerian subsidiary today bears the original name.

The company began in Nigeria as May & Baker (West Africa) Limited at 17A Tinubu Street, Lagos in 1944 as a commercial outpost to serve the West Coast of Africa.  

The corporation moved to its current location in Ikeja, Lagos state during the Nigerian civil war. It established its business at Ikeja in 1976 and commenced local manufacture of pharmaceuticals.  

It changed its name from May & Baker (West Africa) Limited to May & Baker Nigeria Limited in the same year.

Fleet Officer

About the Role

  • The incumbent must possess an HND/B.Sc in Transport Management, Logistics, Facilities Management or any social science related field
  • Must have a minimum of three years cognate experience in Fleet Management.

Mechanical Technician.

Responsibilities

  • The incumbent will be responsible for the maintenance of the production equipment, water bottling plant,
  • Conducting periodic checks as specified in the Standard Operating Procedure.

Requirements

  • Applicants must possess an OND in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience, preferably from a water bottling company
