About Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC)
The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is a federal government agency in Nigeria that was set up on June 5, 2000, during the presidency of Olusegun Obasanjo. Its main function is to manage socio-economic development, and sustainable growth in the economically advantaged Niger Delta region, particularly its oil industry.

Details of the 2025/2026 NDDC Post-Graduate Scholarship
In a bid to enhance Human Resources in the Niger Delta Region, the Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC is set to implement the Foreign Scholarship Programme once again. Its aim is to train and equip the youths for effective involvement in the local content initiative of the Federal Government and enable them to gain specialization in their fields of study to compete internationally.
The programme targets appropriately qualified candidates with relevant Bachelor’s degrees from accredited Nigerian Universities.

Graduates from the below fields of study are qualified to apply for the NDDC Postgraduate Scholarship.

Eligibility Requirements
- Be an Indigene of any of the Niger Delta States.
- Possess the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) completion certificate
- For applicants seeking a Master’s degree, hold an undergraduate degree with at least a 2nd Class-Lower division.
- Avoid affiliation with cults, have no criminal history.
- Must have been accepted into a Foreign University for Post Graduate studies in any listed disciplines above.
- Must not be more than 40 years of age
Selection Process for the 2025/2026 NDDC Post-Graduate Scholarship
- Initial application: Interested candidates must complete an online application on the Commission’s website.
- Candidates will be shortlisted using the following criteria:
i. WASSCE/NECO Results
Ii. Classification for undergraduate degrees (1st Class, Second Class Upper/Lower).
Iii. Local Government Identification
- Computer-Based Test: Shortlisted candidates will take a computer-based test administered by our specialists in River State.
- Minimum Test Score: To progress to the next stage, candidates must score at least 70% on the test.
- Candidates that pass the test will be further shortlisted.
- Final Verification: The candidates will be verified by the Local Government Area (LGA) and the Community Development Committee (CDC).

- Postgraduate admission letter from a reputable overseas university. Relevant degrees from reputable universities.
