The NPA is responsible for the administration, regulation, and operation of Nigeria’s main seaports.

ABOUT THE NIGERIAN PORTS AUTHORITY
The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) is a Federal Government agency responsible for governing and operating Nigeria’s seaports. Our portfolio includes major port complexes such as:

The NPA operates under the supervision of the Federal Ministry of Marine & Blue Economy, in collaboration with other government agencies.
About the Role
The Signalman-in-Training position offers successful candidates the opportunity to build a career in maritime communications and signal operations. Trainees will gain hands-on experience in radio and signal communications, contributing to the safe and efficient coordination of vessel movements within Nigerian ports.
Qualifications & Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- Minimum of five (5) credits in Science subjects obtained in not more than two sittings
- Credits must include English Language and Mathematics in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) or its equivalent
- Certificate must have been obtained within the last eight (8) years
- Knowledge of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) – an added advantage
- Age between 18 and 25 years
