We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join our team as Packing Supervisor at Greenco Foods.
Role Description
- The Packing Supervisor will be responsible for the day to day packing operations of our fresh egg products to ensure efficiency, quality and compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations.
- This is a practical leadership role, where you will supervise a team of egg cleaners and packers, liaise with the production and logistics divisions, and keep precise records of all packaging activities.
- Looking for a self-starter, problem solver with strong leadership abilities and a passion for operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the daily packing operations of Fresh Eggs from the farm, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are maintained.
- Coordinate with production and dispatch teams to fulfil the order and delivery schedules.
- Ensure all items are correctly labelled, packed, and stored according to company and food safety standards.
- Monitor packaging inventory and liaise with procurement for timely replenishment.
- Train, guide, and manage packing staff to maintain productivity and hygiene.
- Conduct regular quality checks and maintain accurate records for traceability.
- Enforce health and safety standards in line with HACCP and internal policies.
- Troubleshoot issues within the packing line and implement process improvements as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a food production or food packaging environment, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Good leadership skill and
- Good communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and packaging procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer literacy (e.g., Ms. excel or inventory systems).
