Responsibilities Production Engineer at PZ Cussons
- To monitor and diagnose failing machines or parts and repair them before they fail completely.
- To perform preventive and corrective maintenance on blow molding machines.
- To configure production machines, specify parameters for distinct SKUs/product lines, and adjust parametric settings when the line/SKU changes.
- Reports any defect he cannot fix within economically rational time to the maintenance (engineering) team.
- To verify that all items fulfill the quality requirements.
- Maintains the cleanliness of the packing facility, particularly your work area, in accordance with GMP and the 5s principle.
- Minor issues are identified and addressed.
- To follow all safety requirements laid down in the packing factory.
- Ensures that all production machinery, packaging, and raw materials are ready according to the day’s production schedule.
- To ensure adherence to relevant QMS, Food Safety, OHS, and EMS policies and procedures.
Qualifications for Production Engineer at PZ Cussons
- HND or B.Sc. in any discipline, ideally Chemical/Mechanical Engineering.
- 1–3 years of experience in a similar capacity
- Computer literate
- Proactive and competent to create a continuous improvement program.
