Job Purpose
- We’re looking for a creative and proactive Program Manager to oversee the execution of startup assistance programs at the Ilorin Innovation Hub.
- The Program Manager will play an important role in defining the innovation ecosystem by designing, managing, and scaling programs that assist fast-growing entrepreneurs.
- This position necessitates a strong capacity to collaborate with key ecosystem stakeholders such as startups, investors, government organizations, academics, and corporate partners in order to foster a dynamic, innovation-driven community.
Duties and responsibilities of Program Manager at iHUB
- Lead the design and execution of an innovation challenge, product showcase/demo day, pre-incubation, and incubation programs designed specifically for the Ilorin Innovation Hub.
- Create and maintain collaborations with government agencies, investors, corporations, and other key ecosystem participants to encourage collaboration and resource mobilization.
- Oversee the scouting, selection, and onboarding of high-potential entrepreneurs into the Ilorin Innovation Hub’s programs to ensure a steady flow of creative businesses.
- Collaborate with the Community team to organize weekly community outreach events aimed at engaging the environment in Ilorin and the adjacent areas.
- Create roadshows in partnership with the community team to increase ecosystem involvement and startup outreach.
- Creating performance indicators for programs, measuring and tracking progress, and meeting reporting obligations from funding agencies and stakeholders.
- Provide assistance to the Communications team on how to disseminate compelling and meaningful content emphasizing startup programs in the Ilorin Innovation Hub and beneficiary success stories (for example, program highlights, interviews, alumni startup spotlights, thought leadership content, etc.).
- Liaise with the internal CcHUB program team and Ilorin Innovation Hub staff to ensure that all programs and activities run smoothly.
- Coordinate activities to assist the alumni network, including establishing, deploying, and executing the alumni engagement plan.
Qualifications for Program Manager at iHUB
- An educational background in technology, engineering, or business.
- A minimum of four years of experience in program/project management in startups, enterprise development, or consultancy is required.
- Project management certification is advantageous.
Passionate about technology, entrepreneurship, and innovation, with a thorough understanding of the tech sector.
- Entrepreneurial expertise or experience working in a startup environment with a strong understanding of technology and the startup support ecosystem.
- A creative problem solver with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organised, resourceful, and capable of taking the initiative and making solid decisions.
- Proven ability to cultivate, sustain, and expand a thriving community.
- Ability to collaborate well in a team and prioritise many tasks while retaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft and Google suites.
