Western Development Company Limited (WDCL) is an indigenous company offering services to local and international oil and gas companies for more than 25 years now.
Our services comprises Procurement Engineering and construction in Mechanical Electrical Civil Instrumentation in Onshore & Offshore brown field & green field projects. We also provide services on procurement and implementation of Information Technology and Telecommunication projects.
We are seeking to grow our business to include oil drilling, completion and well maintenance services, providing Badges, Tug Boats, Personnel Carriers, Security Vessels etc. Also we are working towards growing our business to the shallow and deep offshore horizon.
Role Purpose
Turn inspection, audit, NCR, rework, supplier, completion, and document data into reliable insight that enables project and operations leaders to prioritise risk, improve performance, and prevent recurrence.
Key Responsibilities
- Define quality data requirements, KPI definitions, coding rules, data ownership, reporting frequency, and validation checks.
- Consolidate and cleanse data from inspection requests, ITPs, NCRs, audits, weld/NDT registers, coating reports, test packs, supplier records, and handover systems.
- Build and maintain dashboards, scorecards, trend reports, Pareto analyses, ageing reports, and early-warning indicators.
- Analyse defect, rework, repair, overdue action, audit, vendor, and first-pass acceptance trends by discipline, contractor, system, location, and period.
- Validate source-to-report traceability and challenge incomplete, duplicated, inconsistent, or misleading data before publication.
- Partner with QA/QC and delivery teams to investigate adverse trends and quantify causes, impacts, action effectiveness, and residual risk.
- Prepare weekly and monthly quality performance packs, management-review inputs, and concise narratives explaining material changes.
- Maintain controlled master data, reporting templates, quality registers, and lessons-learned datasets with appropriate access and revision control.
- Automate repeatable data preparation and reporting where practical while retaining transparent, auditable calculations and source links.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Engineering, Quality, Data/Statistics, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Typically 5 or more years of quality, inspection, project-controls, or operational data experience, including at least 2 years of analytics/reporting responsibility.
- Strong spreadsheet and dashboard capability; experience with databases, BI tools, or scripting is advantageous.
- Understanding of QA/QC processes, inspection/NCR lifecycles, audit data, completions, and supplier quality.
- Excellent data-quality discipline, analytical reasoning, visual communication, and technical writing.
Preferred Certifications and Standards Knowledge
- Quality, data analytics, business intelligence, or statistical certification is advantageous.
- ISO 9001 awareness or auditor training is preferred.
- Familiarity with project controls, document management, inspection-management, or completion systems is desirable.

Reporting and Interfaces
Internal interfaces: Quality, inspection, project controls, engineering, construction, procurement, completions, operations, IT, and document control teams.
External interfaces: Clients, contractors, vendors, third-party inspectors, and system/reporting service providers.
HSE and Quality Commitment
Protect confidential and personal data, control access, retain an auditable source trail, and avoid presenting incomplete data in ways that could distort safety or integrity decisions.
The role holder is expected to demonstrate integrity, objective judgement, respect for approved procedures, and a continual-improvement mindset. Responsibilities may be adjusted to suit project scope, risk, location, and contractual requirements.
