Our services comprises Procurement Engineering and construction in Mechanical Electrical Civil Instrumentation in Onshore & Offshore brown field & green field projects. We also provide services on procurement and implementation of Information Technology and Telecommunication projects.

We are seeking to grow our business to include oil drilling, completion and well maintenance services, providing Badges, Tug Boats, Personnel Carriers, Security Vessels etc. Also we are working towards growing our business to the shallow and deep offshore horizon.

Role Purpose

Inspect oil-spill preparedness and field response activities to verify that containment, recovery, shoreline/land protection, waste handling, equipment readiness, and response records meet approved plans, environmental requirements, and safe-work controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect spill-response bases, kits, booms, skimmers, pumps, tanks, sorbents, PPE, communications, boats/vehicles, and support equipment for availability and serviceability.
  • Verify inventory, maintenance, inspection tags, calibration, deployment readiness, access routes, and mobilisation arrangements against response plans.
  • Participate in drills and exercises, observe deployment and command interfaces, record gaps, and track improvement actions.
  • During an incident, inspect source-control support, containment, recovery, transfer, temporary storage, shoreline/land protection, and cleanup activities.
  • Monitor contractor practices, exclusion zones, ignition control, water safety, manual handling, decontamination, and use of suitable PPE.
  • Document affected areas, response tactics, recovered volumes, equipment use, waste streams, photographs, coordinates, samples, and chain of custody as assigned.
  • Verify recovered oil, contaminated soil/water, sorbents, and debris are classified, contained, transported, and handed over to approved waste routes.
  • Escalate ineffective containment, secondary pollution, wildlife/community risk, unsafe practices, or gaps in equipment and personnel capability.
  • Prepare daily inspection summaries, demobilisation checks, after-action findings, and auditable evidence for regulatory and management review.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Requirements

  • HND or bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Marine Studies, Occupational Safety, or a related discipline.
  • Typically 5 or more years of environmental inspection, oil-spill response, emergency response, marine operations, pipeline operations, or HSE experience.
  • Practical knowledge of containment/recovery equipment, field documentation, waste handling, environmental protection, and incident command interfaces.
  • Physical capability to work outdoors, near water, in remote terrain, and during extended emergency-response operations.
  • Strong observation, photographic documentation, record keeping, and calm stakeholder communication.

Preferred Certifications and Standards Knowledge

  • Recognised oil-spill response or incident-command training is strongly preferred.
  • NEBOSH or equivalent HSE certification is advantageous.
  • Boat/water safety, first aid, HAZWOPER/hazardous-material, sampling, or waste-management training is desirable according to deployment.

Reporting and Interfaces

Internal interfaces: HSE/environment, emergency response, operations, pipeline/terminal teams, security, logistics, medical, and community relations.

External interfaces: Response contractors, regulators, waste contractors, laboratories, marine providers, landowners/communities, and specialist advisers.

HSE and Quality Commitment

Prioritise responder and public safety; enforce water, chemical, wildlife, heat stress, traffic, security, ignition, and decontamination controls throughout deployment.

The role holder is expected to demonstrate integrity, objective judgement, respect for approved procedures, and a continual-improvement mindset. Responsibilities may be adjusted to suit project scope, risk, location, and contractual requirements.
