Duties and Responsibilities for Shipping Operations Officer Apapa At Dangote Group
- Oversee shipping operations, which include scheduling shipping, booking vessels, and making sure that items arrive on time.
- Make sure that all paperwork is accurate and that all trade laws and customs procedures are followed.
- Establish long-lasting business partnerships with freight forwarders, shipping agents, and other logistics service providers.

Requirements/Qualification
Education and Work Experience
- Certifications and a bachelor’s degree in sea port operations management or a similar discipline.
- Five to nine years of management experience in shipping operations, ideally with a multinational corporation.

- Good familiarity with the rules and regulations governing international shipping.
- Strong ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Outstanding negotiation and communication abilities.
- Strong capacity to perform well under duress and regularly complete tasks on schedule.
- Accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency with shipping software and Microsoft Office.
- The capacity to manage several jobs at once and adjust to shifting priorities.
