- To help the Husk Marketing and Communications team reach its goals in Nigeria, the company is looking to hire a Site Acquisition officer.Â
- In their capacity as the communities’ first point of contact, this person will be crucial in organizing site acquisition progress initiatives.Â
- As part of your role, you’ll need to help with engagements that involve deploying HUSK’s mini-grid portfolio. Key responsibilities for Site Acquisition Officer at Husk Power Systems
General
- Serve as an integral member of the Marketing and Communications Team, tasked with facilitating the expansion and maintenance of the project sites’ portfolio.
- Facilitate the collection of information and data to be utilized by the pertinent teams for the purpose of deriving market intelligence insights concerning the proposed deployment locations of IMG.
- Provide support in developing community engagement strategies to mitigate the occurrence of community-related issues.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned periodically.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive repository of all key stakeholders within the communities and regions where Husk is currently operational and/or plans to initiate its operations.
- Assist in the preparation of documentation to guarantee that the necessary regulatory permits and submissions are duly registered and/or applied for in a timely manner with regulatory authorities and other governmental stakeholders.
- Ensure the continuous maintenance of comprehensive records pertaining to all interactions with government agencies within the operational domains of Husk.
- Ensure the establishment and maintenance of a comprehensive database that includes the minutes and photographs from all community engagement meetings, as well as pertinent documentation related to agreements, at the time of site acquisition.
- Provide relevant support for the Security Coordinator in documenting possible security insights collected during site acquisition exercises.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned periodically.
Qualifications for Site Acquisition Officer at Husk Power Systems
Required Skills & Attributes
- A minimum of an HND.
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar function within the electricity or telecommunications sectors, supporting project development, rural development, stakeholder management, and sales support operations.
- Ability to assure task completion.
- Excellent Microsoft Office capabilities.
- Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and other necessary applications.
- Highly motivated and goal-oriented, with a track record of completing things on time and efficiently.
- Proficient in effective communication, time management, and organizing.
- Relationship management abilities and receptivity to feedback
- Ability to work in rural and peri-urban settings as needed.
