Position Overview
This role provides essential technical support in the inspection and certification of vehicles across the state.
As an Assistant Works Superintendent, the successful candidate will assist in conducting vehicle inspections, identifying mechanical faults, and ensuring compliance with roadworthiness and safety regulations.
Requirements and Skills
- Education: OND or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or related Engineering discipline from a recognised Polytechnic or other institution
- Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of vehicle mechanics, diagnostics, and safety standards
- Communication: Basic report-writing, documentation, and interpersonal skills
- Computer Literacy: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Attention to Detail: Ability to identify defects and apply standards consistently
- Teamwork: Willingness to work under supervision and support senior inspection officers
