2027 NNPC/Renaissance JV Sabbatical And Postgraduate Research Internship Program Is Out.
The Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited (Renaissance) is the operator of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC), Renaissance, TotalEnergies and Agip Energy and Natural Resources Joint Venture.
It is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for its 2027 Sabbatical and Postgraduate Research Internship Program.
The program provides chances for Nigerian postgraduate students and university teachers to acquire industry-related experience and to contribute to research efforts in the energy sector.
The NNPC/Renaissance JV Sabbatical and Postgraduate Research Internship Program has two categories:
- University Students’ Postgraduate Research Internship
- University Lecturers’ Sabbatical Attachment
Both categories have a 12 month term (non-renewable).

About the Programme
Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited (Renaissance), operator of the NNPC/Renaissance/TotalEnergies/Agip Energy and Natural Resources Joint Venture, invites applications for its 2027 Postgraduate Research Internship Programme .
This initiative provides Nigerian postgraduate students with the opportunity to gain industry-related work experience and conduct topical research within the energy sector .
Available Teams & Disciplines
Applicants must target one of the following specific areas:
1. Environment
- Impact Assessment and Environmental Compliance Monitoring
2. Occupational Health
- Health Promotion
- Epidemiology
- Statistics
3. Pipeline Availability
- Eligibility: PhD candidates in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or Oil & Gas Engineering.
- Requirement: Must have at least three (3) years of pipeline engineering experience in design, construction, or integrity assessment .
4. Exploration
- Eligibility: PhD candidates in Geology or Geophysics.
- Requirement: Must have an AI-related exploration workflow .

- Research Proposal: Outlining the study background, technical objectives, methodology, required data, and expected outcomes .
