About The Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti
The Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti was established in 1979 in accordance with Decree 33 of 1979, which was based on the Federal Polytechnics Act (Cap. 139) as amended by the Federal Polytechnics (Amendment) Decree No. 5 of 1993. The institution was established to train middle and high-level technical personnel for the nation’s economy. It is situated at Kilometer 8, Ado-Ikaree Road. The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has accredited all academic programs at the Polytechnic, which serves a substantial student body enrolled in full and part-time programs at the National Diploma and Higher National Diploma levels.
Job Summary
The Director of Physical Planning will supervise the planning, design, and development of the institution’s physical infrastructure and facilities, ensuring that they are in accordance with professional standards and institutional objectives.
Requirements
- A good Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent and a fully registered professional in a relevant cadre, which includes Quantity Surveyor, Architect, Builder, Town Planner, or Estate Surveyor.
- At least eighteen (18) years post-qualification cognate experience; OR
- A registered professional with a Master’s Degree plus eighteen (18) years post-qualification cognate experience; OR
- A registered professional with a Doctoral Degree plus fourteen (14) years post-qualification cognate experience.
- Publication of papers in the relevant field will be an advantage.
- ICT compliance is mandatory.
- Must be less than sixty (60) years of age as at the time of resumption of duty.
