The Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti was created pursuant to the Federal Polytechnics Act (Cap. 139) as revised by Federal Polytechnics (Amendment) Decree No. 5 of 1993.
The institution at Kilometer 8, Ado-Ikaree Road was designed to teach middle and high-level technical manpower for the economy of the nation. The Polytechnic has a significant student population reading full and part-time programs at National Diploma and Higher National Diploma levels. All academic programs are certified by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).

Summary of the Position
Purpose of the Job To assist with planning, coordination and execution of works and maintenance operations at the institution. To ensure effective maintenance of the institution’s physical infrastructure and amenities.
Requirements
- A good Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent (minimum of Second-Class Lower Division) in Engineering.
- Must be a fully registered Engineer with at least eighteen (18) years post-qualification cognate experience; OR
- A registered Engineer with a Master’s Degree plus eighteen (18) years post-qualification cognate experience; OR
- A registered Engineer with a Doctoral Degree plus fourteen (14) years post-qualification cognate experience.
- Publication of papers in the relevant field will be an advantage.
- ICT compliance is mandatory.
- Must be less than sixty (60) years of age as at the time of resumption of duty.
