3mtt Federal Government Programme are calling on individuals and training providers across Nigeria to apply to the first phase of the 3MTT programme.
In accordance with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s objective of producing 2 million digital employment by the year 2025, the 3MTT program, which is being implemented by the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, would establish a pipeline of technical talent.

About The 3MTT
In order to power our digital economy and position Nigeria as a net talent exporter, the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) program, which is an essential component of the Renewed Hope agenda, aims to strengthen the backbone of Nigeria’s technical talent. Multiple stakeholders, including fellows, training providers, partners, and placement organizations, will be involved in the initial phase of the program, which will be carried out in consultation with NITDA.
300,000 young Nigerians to be equipped in Phases 1 & 2 of 3MTT
December 2023 marked the beginning of the first phase of the program, which consisted of the selection of 30,000 fellows from all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The fellowship participants participated in a rigorous educational experience that includes both self-paced online courses and physical applied learning sessions.
This experience was carried out in collaboration with more than 120 companies.
Second Phase
The second phase of the initiative will teach 270,000 technical professionals in three cohorts of 60,000, 90,000, and 120,000, respectively.
The 3MTT initiative is carried out in partnership with hundreds of applied learning clusters, state governments, development agencies, and other key stakeholders.

Categories of the 3mtt Federal Government Programme
There are two categories of the 3mtt Federal Government Programme which you can apply for:
- You can apply as Fellows:
When you apply as Fellow, you will receive training in specific technical skills that will empower you to be competitive in the local and global technical talent marketplace
- You can apply as Training Providers
Organizations looking to join our pool of training providers to train 3 Million fellows across Nigeria as we design an optimal approach to training and placing technical talents
How long will the 3mtt training programs Take?
During this phase, the courses that are being provided will typically last for a period of three (3) months on average.
Method of Training
The program is hybrid, which means that it offers both online and in-person components to its participants. Even while the vast majority of the training can be completed at a distance, there are some parts that will require instruction to be conducted in person.
3mtt Federal Government Programme Mode of Entry
An entrance examination will be conducted in order to ascertain the minimum level of expertise required for each applicant. Additionally, this will be utilized in the process of selecting the most appropriate course for fellows.

Financial Support
During this stage of the program, the only form of financial assistance that will be provided will be for the cost of training. The price of transportation, meals, and any other expenses will be the responsibility of the participants.
