Position Overview

The Auto Mechanic will be responsible for constructing, maintaining, and repairing all machinery and vehicles. Your duties will include monitoring inventory, inspecting vehicles, and assembling machinery.

Key Responsibilities

1Assess vehicles and/or machinery to accurately diagnose and repair issues
2Liaise with clients to determine their automotive requirements and communicate vehicular defects or problems
3Provide routine inspections of vehicles and inform clients of any issues
4Keep an accurate log of all work performed
5Maintain and clean garage equipment and tools to ensure they are kept in a safe and usable condition at all times
6Ensure tools are properly stored away to avoid putting scratches on steel fabricating materials
7Switch off all machines before leaving at close of work daily

Requirements

Educational Qualification

  • Trade Test, OND, HND, B.Engineering, or related field

Experience

  • At least 3 years work experience in a similar industry

Technical Knowledge

  • Vast knowledge in Electrical / Mechanical / Engineering field
  • Troubleshooting engines – strong diagnostic skills

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who:

  • 🔧 Has hands-on experience with vehicle and machinery maintenance
  • 🛠️ Is skilled in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues
  • 📋 Maintains accurate work logs and documentation
  • 🦺 Prioritises safety and proper tool storage
  • 🤝 Has good communication skills to liaise with clients
  • 🏗️ Has experience in a similar industry (construction, power generation, or heavy equipment)
