Key Responsibilities
As our Content and Social Media Officer, you will:
- Community Management: Build and maintain an active online community by engaging with followers and stakeholders across all platforms
- Content Creation: Create, schedule, and publish engaging content, including graphics, videos, and written posts that captivate audiences
- Customer Engagement: Respond promptly to customer inquiries, comments, and messages in a professional and timely manner
- Trend Monitoring: Monitor social media trends, competitor activities, and emerging digital marketing opportunities to stay ahead of the curve
- Brand Alignment: Ensure all content aligns with the company’s brand voice and marketing objectives
- Strategy Development: Develop and execute social media strategies to increase brand awareness and audience engagement
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams to promote products, services, campaigns, and company initiatives
- Account Management: Manage and maintain the company’s social media accounts across relevant platforms
- Performance Tracking: Track and analyse social media performance metrics and prepare regular reports to measure success and identify areas for improvement
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Platform Expertise: Strong understanding of major social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and X (formerly Twitter)
- Creative Mindset: Creative mindset with strong attention to detail and a passion for digital storytelling
- Content Creation Tools: Experience with content creation tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), or similar platforms
- Proven Experience: Proven experience in social media management, digital marketing, or a similar role
- Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Marketing, Mass Communication, Business Administration, or a related field
- Analytics Knowledge: Knowledge of social media analytics and performance tracking tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Buffer)
