Job Description
- We are seeking outstanding graduates to join our dynamic team. The Entry-Level Security Engineer will help implement, administer, and monitor an organization’s security architecture and systems.

- The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of security principles and a passion for cybersecurity.
Responsibilities
- Help to monitor security systems, firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and security information and event management (SIEM) platforms.
- Help the team uncover vulnerabilities and security flaws in the organization’s network and systems.
- Assist with incident response operations, including identifying, investigating, and recording security incidents.
- Help to find, analyze, and manage vulnerabilities in the organization’s systems, software, and networks.
- Assist with managing user access controls, such as creating, changing, and deleting user accounts and permissions.
- Communicate security concerns to team members and other departments, and ensure that security policies and procedures are followed.
- Support patch management efforts by tracking and deploying security patches to the system.
- Document all security procedures, incidents, and risk-mitigation activities.
- Maintain up-to-date records of the organization’s security configurations and practices.
- Stay informed about emerging risks and security trends, and participate in security conversations and improvements.
- Assist in developing and delivering security awareness training to staff.
Qualifications for Cybersecurity Engineer (Graduate Trainee) at Ethnos Cyber Limited
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related discipline (or comparable practical experience).
- 0 to 1 year of professional experience is necessary (internships or personal security initiatives are preferred).
- Understanding of fundamental cybersecurity principles such as firewalls, encryption, and access controls.
- Experience with security products include antivirus software, SIEM systems, and firewall setups.
- Ability to work well as part of a team while remaining self-motivated and capable of working independently when necessary.
- Capability to detect even the smallest weaknesses and security threats.
- Basic understanding of cloud security concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP) and tools is advantageous.
