Job Role
DevOps Engineer jobs and responsibilities are a mix of technical and management duties. Excellent communication and coordination abilities are required to properly integrate diverse activities and deliver obligations to customers’ satisfaction.
DevOps Engineers have multiple roles; they must be agile enough to wear a technical hat while also managing operations.
Key Responsibilities of DevOps Engineer at INFINION Technologies
- Plan: Determine the team’s organization, activities, and participation in project management activities.
- Define and implement development, testing, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operations.
- Have the technical ability to review, verify, and validate the software code created for the project.
- Techniques for troubleshooting and fixing code issues.
- Encourage and implement automated processes whenever possible.
- Implementation includes the use of numerous development, testing, and automation tools, as well as IT infrastructure.
- Managing stakeholder and external interactions.
- Setting up tools and infrastructure.
- Understanding customer requirements and project key performance indicators.
- Deploy: Identifying and implementing cybersecurity safeguards through ongoing vulnerability assessment and risk management.
- Choosing and deploying the suitable CI/CD tools.
- Collaboration is the coordination and communication between members of a team and clients.
- Strive for continuous improvement by building continuous integration, continuous development, and continuous deployment.
- Monitoring entails tracking and measuring customer experience and KPIs.
- Monitoring processes for adherence throughout their lifecycle, as well as upgrading or developing new processes for improvement and waste minimization.
- Management includes incident management and root cause analysis.
- Reporting: Managing periodic progress reports for management and customers.
Required skills and Qualifications
- Educational background: BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
- Experience: At least two years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or an equivalent software engineering function.
- Experience creating engineering apps for multinational corporations.
- Experience with Kubernetes (AKS), Ansible, Terraform, Docker, Linux Sys Admin (RHEL, Ubuntu, Alpine), Azure Networking, Azure Application Gateway, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and Jenkins are required.
- Demonstrated experience with the following technologies: Microsoft Azure Platform As A Service (PaaS) offerings include Azure SQL, AppServices, Logic Apps, Functions, and other serverless services.
- Understanding of Microsoft Identity and Access Management products, such as Azure AD and AD B2C.
- Microsoft Azure operational and monitoring tools include Azure Monitor, App Insights, and Log Analytics.
- Understanding of PowerShell, Git, ARM templates, and deployment automation.
- Current understanding of best practices for system security measures.
- Advanced study and implementation of business analysis methodologies and strategies.
- Proficient in Git and Git workflows.
- Good understanding of Ruby or Python.
- Working knowledge of databases and SQL.
- Azure DevOps Engineer Certification (preferred).
