About the Future-X Unilever Campus Ambassadors Program (FUCAP)

The Future-X Unilever Campus Ambassadors Programme (FUCAP) is a joint initiative between Unilever Nigeria Plc and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) , aimed at providing young Nigerians with the employability, digital and entrepreneurial skills needed to thrive in today’s workplaces .

The programme has reached over 900,000 young Nigerians in its two and half years of existence and is currently being implemented in 20 universities across the country . 

The effort bridges academics and industry via the UNICEF YOMA platform, Unilever’s social media outlets and higher education campus networks.

Unilever is a founding global partner of Generation Unlimited (GenU), a public-private coalition for youth development that is led in Nigeria by the Vice President, Kashim Shettima. 

The partnership highlights Unilever’s commitment to youth development and economic change, a high-level government objective.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and update shipment trackers, capturing all data from origin to delivery, container return, and invoice settlement.
  • Liaise with clearing agents, suppliers, banks and Unilever’s global logistics partners to ensure timely documentation, dispatch, and accurate shipment tracking.
  • Ensure all shipping documents, permits, and certificates are complete, up to date, and submitted at least 5 days before vessel arrival.
  • Prepare, upload, and follow through with document signings as per Unilever’s Statement of Authority
  • Monitor and escalate risks or delays in shipment timelines, documentation, and supplier/ agent compliance.
  • Support container deposit/ bond tracking, financial postings, and continuous process improvements in the ImpEx function.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  •  Must be serving or completing NYSC.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong data analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
  • Good stakeholder management, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Must have a passion for high performance.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Available to work fulltime for the duration of 1 year.
